Is there a chance that there is going to be another tropical storm? The latest information what the national hurricane center has giving was that er is medium chance that in 48 hours another tropical storm is going to be formed!

LOW IS PRODUCING A CONCENTRATED AREA OF SHOWERS AND THUNDERSTORMS
ABOUT 300 MILES NORTHEAST OF PUERTO RICO. ALTHOUGH UPPER-LEVEL
WINDS ARE ONLY MARGINALLY FAVORABLE...SOME ADDITIONAL DEVELOPMENT
OF THIS SYSTEM IS POSSIBLE OVER THE NEXT COUPLE OF DAYS AS IT MOVES
WESTWARD AT 10 TO 15 MPH.

Paloma dissipated on 10 Nov. She came ashore as a Category 4 hurricane on Cuba. She showed her strenght but after a couple of hours she became a tropical storm. And short after that a tropical Depression. Now Paloma dissipated.

Soon after Paloma dissipeared, the National hurricane saw a chance that Paloma maybe could be reorganised by a weak low pressure area. But she didn't and maybe Paloma was the last Hurricane of the season.

After Hurricane Paloma hit land in Cuba she weakens first as a category 2 hurricane (she came ashore as a category 4!) and after that she is now a tropical Storm. Probally she weakens even more later on the day to a depression and maybe tomorrow Paloma is gone.

Paloma is become a mayor hurricane with windspeed of 135 mph and a pressure of 945 mbar! She is still heading for Cuba and is expected to come there as a mayor hurricane on sunday morning.

maybe she become a category 5, but the chance are very low. But still Paloma is a very dangerous hurricane!

Paloma is become a hurricane on 7 November (today) she is now still heading for Cuba and is expected to come there in the next 2 or 3 days as a hurricane.

In the night of 5 and 6 November ( GMT +1) tropical Storm Paloma came to live. She is expected to become a hurricane in the next day or so. She is now heading for Cuba as probbely a category 1 or 2 hurricane.

Hurricane Omar weakens

Hurricane Omar weakend to hurricane category 1 and is expected to become a tropical storm in the fewer days. He is now heading to Europe. But that is still a expectesion.

The pictures below show Hurricane Omar as category 1. There are now pictures yet of when he was category 3, because the pictures where taking on the wrong spot.

Tropical Storm Omar becomes hurricane

Tropical Storm is become a hurricane on 15 Oktober 2008. He is now heading for Puerto Rico. Also on the Netherlands Antillen is given a hurricane warning. Also there has been a heavy rainfall there. A woman says that she has never seen so much rainfall in a year time. And this was falling between a couple of hours.

- Tropical Depression 15 is now Tropical Storm Omar
- There is now a Tropical Depression 16
- Nana is still there. But she is also still a Tropical Depression
- A new activiti is coming. Maybe the next tropical Depression?

Also Tropical Depression 15 is born and is on his way to hit puerto rico. More information about that when tropical depression 15 get a name and is a tropical Storm

At this moment there is a 20 to 50 % chance that tropical depression 16 arise at the soutwest of the Caribean Sea. If it has formed you will see more information about the possiblilty of tropical depression 16!

The tropical Surface temperture of 6 Oktober. Currently there are 2 systems how are developing a organised system. One in the Caribian and the other between the Caribian and Cape Verde islands. This developing systems may be become the next tropical storms and maybe hurricanes with the names Nana and Omar.
We will see. If one of the systems become a tropical storm you will see it here on my website.

The red sparks on the picture are the warmest sea temperture between 25 and 30 degrees. This is very favourble for any developing of storm systems.

Tropical Storm Arthur

The rise of tropical Storm Arthur:

Arthur raise of remnants of tropical storm Alma, she was on the pacific ocean. With a tropical wave of the Caribbean was a basic for tropical depression 1. The tropical wave and the remnants of tropical storm Alma was going to be organised and after a couple of days the first depression of hurricane season 2008 was formed. It became short before making landfall to Belize city a Tropical Storm.

Wind history:
The wind history is in mph from the time that the Arthur became a Tropical Storm. His highest wind measure was 40 mph hour. Just for the time that Arthur make landfall in Belize City as a Tropical Storm.

The rainfall of Tropical Storm Arthur:
In this pictures there is been showing what the rainfall was in the period of 27 may and 4 June. In the red areas was the most rain during this period. And in the grey areas there was the less rainfall. Lesser than 50 mm.

Pressure of Arthur

The pressure of tropical storm arthur was between 1008 and 1004 mbars. (click on the picture to see it bigger)

Track:
The track of tropical Storm Arthur (also named as Arthur/Alma) was very short. In this picture showed was his track is. Arthur lived for 2 and a half day. This picture is taking between 30 May and 2 June. Than Tropical Storm disappeared in the atmosphere.
Light blue is tropical storm. Dark blue is for tropical depression.

The storm himself:
Arthur was a storm with a lot of rain and some thunderstorms. There were a couple of floods who treated Belize City. Arthur has a total damage 78 million dollars and 5 people were killed during the storm. The plantations were been damages and so round the 10 000 people where affected by Tropical Storm Arthur.
